I chalk painted a burgundy ...It looks REALLY good! I chalk painted a burgundy wing back chair several months ago but you got much better coverage. I didn't go full strength on the final coat and that is probably where I went wrong. If you want to soften it up a bit yo...Looks great. If you want to soften it up a bit you can sand it lightly. I used to do that between coats of paint...and it gives it more of a 'leathery' feel.
