Vintage Farmhouse Style

Hi everyone!

I am sharing some of my vintage farmhouse style with you today! Many of these things have been with me since my first apartment days back in the early 80's and for the most part, I have remained true to this style. I did get swayed in the early days of blogs and tried out a few looks that just weren't "me," even though I admired them in other's homes.

It was kind of a disinterested time for me, decorating-wise, and I had really lost my love for my house. Eventually I returned to decorating in the style that feels right for me. Vintage Farmhouse Style. Of course, I throw in a few new ideas and trends every now and then, but when you break it down, I have found my style.

Crusty scales, rooster china and farm figures...

This scale has been with me since my first apartment when disco was still popular, lol. The cute chick was a $2.75 recent antique mall score - two inches of cuteness!

The cow canvas is a current "trend," yet features my ever present farm animals...

How about you? Have you found your style?

Thanks for stopping by,
Jane

  1. Love your vintage farmhouse style Jane. Hey I always say if you surround yourself with what you love and not the trends you will be happy. Love that cow picture. Awesome!

  2. Ha, ha, ha, lol. Found my style, I still don't know what I'm going to 'be' when I grow up? Love this post---because we have to be----who we are. Comfortable in our own homes, skins, however you want to say it. "Be true to yourself," best advice ever written or said...and you said it with love. Thanks, Sandi

  7. Hi Jane, love all your farmhouse pieces. I have 2 of those same plates in pink. I am going to have to take stock of my decor soon to find out what style I truly am. I do love the farmhouse look but don't know if I'm close enough to call some of it that..Happy Wednesday..Judy

  8. That rooster is so cute! Good find. I think my style is like "Mixer Upper"! I mix old and new together somehow!

  12. You can choose to look for different home decorative items to increase your beauty and comfort level. You can add drawing table, cushions for more accessible hands on the items within your room.
