Hi everyone!
I have been wanting new carpeting for our stairs and second floor hallway for some time now and I have narrowed it down to six contenders.
If you remember, we took out a closet in our second floor last winter and made it into a cute little sitting nook. (You can see the details here) The carpeting is original to the house and is just a basic beige-y oatmeal color - you can see a glimpse of it here. It runs the entire hallway, plus the stairs. It is still in fairly good condition, but I have had my heart set on a colorful, patterned carpet for several years now. I've squirreled away some $ and I am ready to pull the trigger on this purchase.
So, here's where you come in: I sure would love your input on which one of these you like the most. Obviously, if you are not a color or pattern person, you will be asking what the x$yz I am thinking! Buuuutttttt......I am a color lover, a color craver, and away we go!!!
Anyway, with that being said, I would love your input. When you come through the front door, the stairs are the first thing you see, making the carpet an important decorating element.
I really like them all, so it is a tough decision. I am leaning towards one - I will share that with you in another post.
What do you think friends?
Thanks for stopping by,
Jane

I really like the last one. :) Good luck choosing! That seems the hardest part. ~Jessica
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jessica. I like them all, so it will be a tough decision.
DeleteI like number 4 and 6 the best .
ReplyDeleteMerle...............
Oh thanks, Miss Merle. I am having a hard time picking!
DeleteIt is tough but I love anything moroccan, so I'm biased towards that. Anything you choose would look great though! good luck Jane!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vel, as you can see, several lean the moroccan way. They all have good points, so it will be interesting to see which one wins with the readers. I also put it out on my personal FB and there has been a lively discussion.
DeleteI like the 4th one! I think it's elegant but not too overpowering :)
ReplyDeleteSusan
Thanks for your vote, Susan! I agree, but I am still on the fence, lol.
DeleteOh, such a tough decision! Don't care for beige colors and the others are such "patterned" patterns, so I like the last one. It's elegant and free flowing.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you choose. Thanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY...
Blessings,
Cindy
Thanks for weighing in Cindy!
DeleteI'm a color person, too, so I am drawn to both the third and the last one. Flip a coin!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the votes, Ellen - you have a good idea with the coin flipping!
DeleteHi Jane,
ReplyDeleteI love the first red one! it calls my name, I love red. You will make the right choice I know it. Let us know what you pick.
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
Thanks for the support, Elizabeth! I hope to make decision soon and get it installed.
DeleteThe second one and the last one. Good luck choosing. Janice
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Janice! I really have enjoyed getting opinions on this.
DeleteHi Jane. I love them all. If you have seen the pictures of my master bedroom (black with pink roses) you will know why. I tend to go for the rusty-red ones more than the beige, but whatever you pick will be beautiful. What do you see beyond the stairs when you first come in. Any pieces of furniture that would pick up one of the colors? I think a bright shot would be so pretty for a first impression especially if there is something in the background that your eye will pick up...Happy Tuesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Judy! Our stairs make a jog halfway up, where I have a simple gallery wall of my daughter's baby pictures - very simple. It is beadboard, painted a creamy color with a yellow undertone. No room for a true furniture piece, but right know I have a large, wheeled market basket with a plant in it.
DeleteHi Jane. I really love them all but I'm especially drawn to the first one and the last one. Good luck with your decision.
ReplyDeleteKristi
Hi Kristi! Thanks for the votes - so far, they have been all over the place. I am excited to make a decision and it has been so helpful to hear from you all!
