September Song

Oh, it's a long, long while from May to December But the days grow short when you reach September When the autumn weather turns the leaves to flame One hasn't got time for the waiting game Oh, the days dwindle down to a precious few September, November And these few precious days I'll spend with you These precious days I'll spend with you

- September Song

Hi everyone! Well, here we are - September 1st! It's going to be close to 99 in my neck of the woods, but you
can't deny Autumn knocking at our door.

I don't know about you, but I absolutely adore fall and all the glories of this season - sweaters, crimson and
golden leaves, hot apple cider, pumpkins, bonfires, football and glorious mums - just to name a few. Wishing you a joyful start to this harvest season.

Thanks for stopping by,
Jane

  1. It will be in the 90s here too, but to me it is the best time of the year. I love these last four months. Family, Friends, baking, and enjoying life.

  2. 90's here in Chicagoland, but the neighbor's apple tree is just about ready to drop. Gorgeous photography, and I have always loved that song, thanks for the morning smile.

  5. Hi Jane,
Yep we are back to summer this week for sure in the midwest. I just got some apples to make a nice apple pie. Just hate the thought of putting the oven on!!!! Have a great week ahead.

  9. Joan I so wish I shared your sentiment for Fall. Next to Winter it is one of my least favorite seasons. It's Spring/Summer for me all the way! I do like the colors of Fall and the bounty of harvest, but the cool air is just a reminder of what's to come.

  11. For me Autumn is my favorite time of the year and September being my birth month very special. This year Philly is truly experiencing a Indian Summer, today was 93, tomorrow 92 and Thursday will be 94. I know cooler temps will arrive soon but sure doesn't feel like September yet.

  13. Jane...we not only share the same name but also our love of fall! It was 90 here in Chicago today, it drives me crazy to be stuck inside but it was miserable today with the humidity. I'm hoping for a cool but sunny Indian Summer!

    Thanks for the visit! :)
