Winter Planning

Hi everyone!

Now that winter has settled in, I decided it was time to make a list of home projects I wanted to get done during the cold months ahead.

I am most excited about the face lift I am planning for our master bath. Oh my gosh, this room is in desperate need! It is awful. I am serious. In fact, awful is probably too kind. But, have no fear! This ugly duckling will be a swan before the first tulip of spring!

I received a $100 gift card from WalMart recently. Instead of using it on groceries, etc., I thought I would challenge myself to see how far I could stretch the $100 in 're-decorating a room. I think I know which room I am going to choose, but stay tuned! I plan on revealing how I used my card, and in what room,  in March.

Lastly, my laundry room has gotten a bit unruly lately, so a facelift and reorganization is in order.

In between "the list," I will have plenty of smaller projects and decor tweaking to share. I hope you will come on over and check out what I'm up to.

And you? Any plans for the coming months? I'd love it if you would share in the comments.

Thanks for stopping by,
Jane

  1. I'm about to do the same thing - craft a 2016 To do list!!! Last year I had one and I accomplished exactly HALF of the projects I had planned! Without planning NOTHING would have been done!!! To PLAN is to be halfway THERE!!

  2. Jane, I love that you are challenging yourself .. I can not wait to see what all you will do. Paint is usually number economical decorating equipment. LOL I want to redo my bath also. I think I'll start by painting the vanity. Good luck honey. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  5. Jane, can't wait to see the room and how you use $100 to make it happen. Kerin at Mill Hill Meadow put some notes in a bottle last year and packed them away with the Christmas decorations. They were to be used in place of new year's resolutions. When she got them out this year she was surprised that she had accomplished everything on the notes. I thought it was a really cute idea so I did the same this year. I chose 3 projects and Jerry chose 3. It will be so interesting to see next year if they were all done and if we wanted the same things..what are the odds?!! Hope you are having a great year so far..Judy

  7. I need to add paint to my to-do list too. Nothing says clean and fresh like a new coat of paint.

  8. I think it will be fun to follow along with your projects to see what magic occurs from paint, For it truly can transform a room. We're still working in the center part of our basement, plus I've been playing around with a few new art projects.
