Painting Again

Hi everyone!

Just a quick pop in to say "hey" and fill you in on what I'm doing between planting flowers and shower prep.

There's nothing like planning a party to give me a kick in the pants to freshen up my decor. Mr. Bluebird and I painted our living area and front entry in April, which has left the kitchen looking sad and neglected. I've come to the conclusion I burn way too many candles - there is an awful lot of soot on my walls. I think I may be giving them up. Boo hoo.

Anyway, painting is easy - but yikes! I just hate the preparation! I'm an instant gratification kind of girl.  Nonetheless, I've patched and primed and took down my over abundance of stuff.  I'm ready to put brush to the wall and get it done!

Such a mess! But I know it will be worth it in the end. A freshly painted room is always a beautiful sight.

Thanks for stopping by,

  1. I know how you feel, I painted my kitchen cabinets this spring. It was work, but the results are worth it. Now I have a fresh bright kitchen that makes me smile . . . and you will too! Paint on sweet friend!

  2. You sure are juggling things...but all will turn out for the best in the end. Janice

  3. Paint does wonders and I also dislike the prep! My hubby always says the furnace filter gets blackened because of candles I burn. I’ve cut back on burning candles and one brand dare I mention (Yankee Candle) was particularly bad about it. Try to find candles with wicks that have no metal center. My mom has that same Edgemont Crackers tin! Have fun painting!

  4. Painting really changes things and makes a difference but man oh man, I so do not like to paint! There are some things I would like to paint but I just keep putting it off, lol!

  5. It's dominos----sigh...we redid the kitchen, but, now the living room looks like a wasteland...sigh!

  6. It's always worth it the end - it's the getting there that is a challenge sometimes.
